Baguio City is commonly known for best strawberries and ube (kind of root crops) jams, but don’t you know that they supply silver jewelries not just in our country but of course they are trending worldwide as well.

Silver Jewelries in Baguio is not commonly known to everyone but for your information about this, it is making name around the world for the past decades.

There are several jewelry shops and brands came from Baguio City. Aside from that, they produce unique designs, efficient service and good quality of silver jewelries wherein local and foreign clients never tired of buying those products from them. With the continuous patronage of the consumers to the brands, Philippines is now getting noticeable in the name of Silver Jewelries

Ibay’s Silver Shop is one of those Silver Jewelry brands that came only from Baguio City, Philippines. And good thing to know, that this is owned by a Filipino. And of course you would also see their products which really made them proud of their nationality. They made products that trademark the attitude of being a Filipino itself. You can see an image of a Carabao, the Philippines National Animal, as there one of the new silver products. Well, isn’t that flattering? Aside from silver jewelries, the brand is also producing silver utensils, key chains and so many products that you wouldn’t expect that they would have to.

This only shows that Filipinos are not just proven talented in dancing ethnics, creative in designing, singing but it is indeed very intelligent as well in terms of businesses. Who would expect that Filipinos can make it? Why not?

Baguio City is commonly known for its best pasalubong (homecoming gift) idea you can have when you visit the place. There are plenty of delicacies, fruits and even vegetables in cheaper price you can buy out of shopping before leaving the city. One of the best known pasalubong you can buy is the ube (kind of root crops) jam aside from strawberry goods.

Ube jam is one of the main goods perfect for pasalubong where people who visit Baguio City never forget to buy. And one of the most trusted brands is the Good Shepherd. This brand sells lots of different flavors of jam, and aside from this; they also sell variety of foods that are good for gift surprises to your family, loved ones and friends. But the most known pasalubong they sell is the Good Shepherd’s Ube Jam.

Good Shepherd’s Ube Jam is not the jam we usually taste and buy from a grocery store. This jam is very milky and not too sweet which is good for everyone’s palate. You can pair it with bread or even eat the jam alone without pairing anything on it. There are lots of brands who do sell ube jam as well, but then some are not in natural way of making them because some consider using artificial flavors. Good thing is that, Good Shepherd perfectly made jams from natural products and in natural way of processing them.

Aside from it, Good Shepherd affiliates a youth program that sends young ones to study college. In every product being sold helps them to send youths to school and finish their college studies. Isn’t that very heartening? With just the product you bought out of their store you help youths to finish their college studies.

I am an avid fan of strawberries and I actually love to plant some and harvest them on my own, but eventually I can’t do it since I don’t live in a cold place like Baguio City.

Baguio City, formerly known as the Summer Capital City of the Philippines, is well known of its strawberries and some other plants that rarely grown in our country. Yes, it is because Baguio City has the temperature that other places in the Philippines don’t have. One of the activities that mostly people do when they visit the place is strawberry picking.

Strawberry Picking in Baguio is definitely the coolest and the most fun way activity a person (well, a first time Filipino to visit Baguio City might be) could experience in the place. As you’ll be the one to harvest those strawberries of your choice and perhaps you’ll definitely eat while picking some, and I bet you, you’ll definitely do it. Aside from this, strawberry picking cost much compare when they are sold in the market; it is because amateur ones don’t have any idea on what and how is the proper way of harvesting them. Looking at those people who prefer to pick up strawberries, you would also notice that it is indeed true.

There are lots of farms where strawberries grow in Baguio City but the commonly known place of harvesting them is at La Trinidad’s Strawberry Farm. La Trinidad is a neighboring town of Baguio City which is the capital of Benguet Province. Anyone can go to the place within 30 minutes or less starting point to the center of Baguio City using any way of public or private transportation. Aside from strawberry picking in La Trinidad’s Strawberry Farm, you can see lots of vendors that do sell different kinds of delicacies made out of strawberries outside the farm. You can buy strawberries that are packed up already and cost less compare in harvesting them on your own. But I guess people that are adventurous would prefer Strawberry Picking instead. Why not, right?

Make sure when you visit the Summer Capital City of the Philippines, don’t forget to travel in La Trinidad’s Strawberry Farm for strawberry picking experience.

Many people have already held up their heads, choked back tears, and strengthened their hearts in order to take Australia flights and seek permanent residence to the land down under.

Now what is so interesting about this continent-country? Why do many people go there in order to seek employment?

For one, it is a big country with still larger patches of land that are uninhabited. And they want to develop these areas, which is the reason why they need manpower and people with special skills. There are just so many things to be done.

Second, since Australia is a progressive country, the salary packages and benefits are really rewarding. And the retirement benefits are very attractive, too.

Moreover, the country is safe, clean, and orderly—the kind of place where you would want to raise a family in.

It is no wonder they why people would want to first visit Australia and many of its big cities and then plan to migrate there. There are so many wonderful opportunities there.

There are so many places to visit in Australia and if you want to travel there just for sightseeing or surveying purposes, one week is too short to fully experience what this country has to offer.

One of the reason why people go to Baguio is the abundance of flowers. There is not a place in Baguio where there is no flowers. Even on sidewalks and road side. Usually, we can wild sunflowers on the roadside, specially on the Marcos Highway, but if you want to see real sunflower, Burnham Park is the place to go. Below are sunflower photos that I took the last time we were there.

If you are into flower photography, Burnhma Park is the place to practice your photography skills.

In need of inspiration, sometimes I think about looking into online photography classes. You can take casual classes or even earn a degree at one of these online photography school, and then go on to have a career in this art.
